“What did this customer do before contacting support?”
The per-user timeline answers it in seconds: every screen and tracked action, in order, grouped by session — with a link to replay the full journey of any session.
Anonymous or identified
Capture only your internal user ID, or add username and email when your team needs to recognise customers.
No-code identification
Point WebTracko at the page elements that hold the user ID, name, email and cohort — or call webtracko.identify() from your code.
Cohorts
Group users by plan, team or any attribute you expose, and compare how each cohort behaves.
Find anyone fast
Search users by name, email or ID, filter by cohort and see who is active right now.
Per-user timelines
Every screen and event a user triggered, grouped by session, with a 90-day activity strip.
Built for support
When a customer writes in, open their timeline — or watch their session live — and see exactly what happened.
Events
Measure the actions that matter
Pages tell you where users are; events tell you what they accomplish. Send product events with one line of code and break them down by users, time and properties.
- Counts and unique users per event
- Daily trends for each event
- Top property values (e.g. format=csv)
- Recent occurrences with the user who triggered them
- report_generated2,210 users · 18,420
- file_uploaded1,688 users · 9,312
- project_created1,294 users · 4,120
- invite_sent642 users · 1,877

Feature adoption
Find out which features users actually use
Define features by the screens or events they involve and see what share of your active users adopts each one — so roadmap decisions rest on usage, not guesses.
- Features from screens (/reports*) or events (report_generated)
- Users, uses and % of active users
- Automatic top screens and events as a starting point
- Reports74% of active users
- AI Assistant49% of active users
- Exports44% of active users
- Automations19% of active users
- Integrations13% of active users
Journeys
See the paths users take through your app
Choose a starting screen and follow what users do next, step by step. Spot the paths that lead to value — and where users drop off.
- Start from any entry screen
- Up to four steps deep
- Share of sessions for every branch
- See where users leave the app
Custom events
Track the actions that matter with webtracko.track(name, properties) — counts, users, trends and top property values.
Feature adoption
Name parts of your product by screen or event and see what share of active users actually use each one.
Combined journeys
Pick a start screen and see where users go next, step by step, with the share of sessions on each path.
Smart URL grouping
/projects/42 and /projects/43 are the same screen. IDs are grouped automatically, with custom patterns when you need them.
Retention & cohorts
Do users keep coming back?
Weekly retention shows how each group of new users sticks with your product over time. Compare cohorts — plans, teams or anything you expose — to learn what drives lasting engagement.
- Retention by first week of use
- Retention by cohort
- 4, 8 or 12 week views
| First week | Users | W0 | W1 | W2 | W3 | W4 | W5 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Week of Aug 4 | 412 | 100% | 61% | 48% | 42% | 39% | 37% |
| Week of Aug 11 | 455 | 100% | 64% | 52% | 45% | 41% | |
| Week of Aug 18 | 398 | 100% | 66% | 55% | 49% | ||

Weekly retention
See what share of each signup week keeps coming back over the following weeks.
Retention by cohort
Compare retention across plans, teams or any cohort to find what keeps users engaged.
Live view
Watch a user's session as it happens — privately
Find a signed-in user in the live list and follow their cursor, clicks and navigation in real time. For applications, page text is hidden by default so sensitive customer data never appears on your screen.
- Search live users by name, email or page
- Cursor, clicks, scrolling and navigation
- All text replaced with bullets by default
- Turn text on per application when appropriate

Installation
The same script. Two optional lines.
Add the WebTracko script to your app's root layout. Identify users from page elements without touching code, or use the JavaScript API — calls made before the script loads are queued safely.
- React & Next.js
- Vue & Nuxt
- Angular
- Svelte & SvelteKit
- Rails, Laravel, Django
- Any single-page app
// Identify the signed-in user
webtracko.identify(user.id, {
username: user.name, email: user.email, cohort: user.plan
});
// Track what users do
webtracko.track("report_generated", { format: "pdf" });Privacy
Designed for data inside your product
Signed-in apps show customer data, so applications get stricter defaults. See our Compliance page for details.
Text hidden by default
Live view for applications replaces all page text with bullets — enforced on our servers, not just in the browser.
Anonymous mode
Only your user ID and cohort are stored. Names and emails are discarded even if a page exposes them.
Regional guidance
Collecting names and emails? Choose your users' region and get guidance on the rules that apply.
Never captured
Keystrokes, typed text, form values and passwords are never recorded in any mode.
Your data, your rules
You decide what to track and disclose it in your own privacy policy. A Data Processing Agreement is included for every customer.
Priced by active users
Applications are billed by monthly active users — not screen views or events — and live next to your websites in one dashboard.
Good to know
We'd rather you know how things work up front.
- • Active users and retention are counted per day in UTC.
- • Journeys are calculated from up to 20,000 sessions in the selected period.
- • Event properties are flat key–value pairs (text, numbers, true/false) — up to 20 per event.
- • Identified mode stores names and emails, which are personal data — anonymous mode is the default recommendation.
